What is Advanced Academy for Victim Assistance?

The academy will offer advanced training to professionals in criminal justice and non-profit settings who are leading the provision of victim services in a managerial or administrative capacity. This academy provides an opportunity to study and interact with other victim service providers to develop and enhance leadership and management skills, in order to strengthen the provision of consistent, high-quality, professional services to crime victims, their families, and local communities. 

Who Should Attend?

The academy content is designed for current and aspiring program managers/supervisors and is recommended for victim service providers from both systems-based and community-based programs. Participants should have at least three years of experience as a victim service provider.

Application Process
Application deadline has been extended!
The Academy will be limited to 60 participants. Applications will open January 4, 2021 at www.txvsa.org. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance on or before January 25, 2021

Registration Fee

 $250 for TVSA members and $275 for non-members includes lunch for 2 days and up to 18 hrs of Social Work, LPC, or LMFT CEUs (3 Ethics).
