Description: The TDCJ Victim Offender Mediation Dialogue Program (VOMD) started in the late 1990s. Since the inception of the program, VOMD has continued to adjust to the varying needs of the victims, as well as the complexities of all varying crime types. This webinar will discuss the development of the VOMD Program, as well as the use of the VOMD policies and preparation processes to include working with sex offenses, domestic violence, creative alternatives, dual victims, death row requests, and minors requesting mediation. We will also discuss the evolution of technology in VOMD to include virtual meetings and dialogues, the use of the Integrated Victim Services System (IVSS), and the victims' portal.
